Elizabeth Varga

About Elizabeth

Background:

Liz is a registered Exercise Physiologist and Advanced Pilates instructor with over 13 years’ experience working with people of all ages and conditions. Her experience is broad and includes working with people who are new and expectant mothers, senior’s, people with chronic pain and recovering from injury. She enjoys challenging all clientele (age is no barrier), thinking outside the box and offering variety in all her exercise programs to sustain motivation and enjoyment in all her sessions.

Liz prides herself on helping her clients feel accomplished and able to get back to activities they didn’t think were possible again. She enjoys seeing her clients happy and out of pain and values building relationships full of communication, trust and laughter.

Liz is a dedicated mother of three. Being an ex-Victorian Calisthenics performer she loves helping both current and ex dancers learn healthy ways to strengthen and look after their body. She also has passion for mentoring students coming through the ranks and provides them the opportunity to gain experience and complete their own qualifications.

Alicia Pangbourne

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

About Alicia

Background:

Alicia is a registered Exercise Sport Scientist and Exercise Physiologist. 

Following regular injuries from sports as a child (and now as an adult), she found a passion for exercise rehabilitation with the use of cardiovascular, traditional resistance training, pilates and yoga. 

Alicia has been provided opportunities to travel to Timor Leste and Cambodia to engage in School sports teaching, as well as provide physical rehabilitation and care to individuals from varying ages. Prior to completing her studies as an Exercise Physiologist, she became a Pilates instructor, teaching Barre, Mat and Reformer Pilates.

She has had over 3 years’ experience working within the clinical, hospital and community settings, and a broad range of conditions such as oncology, metabolic, cardiorespiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal. Alicia enjoys working with the Paediatric population, but thrives on a challenge and wishes to help address all individuals, regardless of age, injury or condition, with the best outcomes. 

On the weekends Alicia loves her sports, 4WD and outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, water sports, and skydiving.

Sarah

Jareth Blundell

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

About Jareth

Background:

Jareth graduated in 2019 and in his time has been working as an exercise physiologist which has taken him to New South Wales, Queensland, and New Zealand.
During this time Jareth has been able to work with a variety of clients, ranging from neurological disorders to chronic diseases / injury management.

Having always grown-up playing sport, then later exercising at the gym. Jareth has always been passionate about exercising and learning about the human body. Hence why it was fitting that he became an exercise physiologist.

There is no better feeling than helping a client achieve their goal, whether it be a short- or long-term goal, that is why Jareth is passionate about helping every client achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

When not at work Jareth enjoys exercising himself, whether that be going to the gym or playing some form of sport. He also enjoys watching sport (AFL, cricket, soccer, and NBA) and socializing with friends and family.

Sarah

Rachel Murphy

Accredited Exercise Scientist & Allied Health Assistant

About Rach

Background:

Rachel is an accredited Exercise Scientist and Allied Health Assistant.

Rach has been heavily involved in tennis since her teenage years however, after a series of shoulder injuries and working with physio’s for her rehab, she really saw how a variety of different forms of exercise could aid in injury rehabilitation not just for herself but for many others.

Rach also had the opportunity to travel to south India with the Richmond Institute of Sport through a company called Primitive Sport where she engaged in delivering exercise programs and running performance tests to children in a variety of different communities. Prior to completing her studies, she spent 3 years living in Spain and Scotland where she did lots of travel alongside teaching English and attending a Spanish language academy. 

Rach has gained experience within the strength and conditioning rehabilitation area within organisations such as the Richmond Institute of Sport, Richmond AFLW team and in a community setting where she has worked to deliver exercise programs to culturally and diverse individuals. Rach has a strong passion for the neurological population and hopes to commence the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology shortly, to expand her knowledge and scope of practice to help as many people as she can to achieve their health and fitness goals. 

Rach is hugely passionate about travel and learning languages; Spanish is her second language!!! She enjoys reading, writing and watching movies in Spanish to ensure that she is always keeping her brain active and up to date on all the lingo.

Cassidy Briant

Cert IV Health Administration

About Cassidy

Background:

Before being introduced to Revitalize and its team, Cassidy has participated in numerous Pilates, Yoga/Bikram and Strength Training classes at her local gym. She has always enjoyed and prioritised exercise and playing sports. Previously Cassidy has worked at Funfields Themepark in which she was a water rides assistant, and currently Cassidy works as a Clerk at a pharmaceuticals Company. 

At age 20, Cassidy is planning on studying full time at university in 2022 while working at Revitalize. Cassidy completed her placement for her Certificate IV in Health Administration course at the Keilor road studio. She enjoyed working and learning with the Revitalize team and their clients. 

On the weekends Cassidy enjoys her sports, spending time with friends and family and taking her dog on walkies.

Laura Dobson

Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Sport Scientist

About Laura

Background:

Laura is both an accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Sport Scientist.

Laura was first was first introduced to Exercise Physiology during her undergraduate studies where she completed placement at a spinal cord injury rehabilitation clinic. She was inspired and amazed by the power of exercise as medicine and from that moment on knew it was the career path she wished to pursue into her post-graduate studies.

Laura has experience working in both hospital and private practice settings, alongside a broad range conditions including neurological, musculoskeletal, metabolic, cardiorespiratory and oncology. Laura is passionate about providing a client-centred approach to her work and strives to build strong and positive relationships with clients to empower them through exercise.

Prior to working within the industry Laura worked as a disability support worker, a role she found extremely rewarding as she collaborated with clients to reach their goals and build connections within the community. Whilst completing her studies, Laura also achieved her certificate in Reformer Pilates teaching which has helped to grow her exercise repertoire.

When she isn’t working Laura enjoys staying active, watching the footy, exploring the outdoors and hanging out with her loved ones.
